since the sec4s + 5s have finally graduated, i suppose we ought to say something. so here goes! =) grab some tissues, esp those who have talents in emo-ing. like jovin [emotong] and fidah [emoda].
well, 4 years have passed for me. wouldn't say it's too short nor too long. but one thing's for sure, it's worth it. all the tears, joy and laughter is truly irreplaceable. especially fidah's scoldings and naggings. i'm seriously going to miss it.. i don't know about you guys, but it has been a part of my life ever since i joined band in sec1. well, i'll give a brief summary of my time in band since sec1 till now.
when i first stepped into band and we had to try instruments, i loathed the brass section. hurr hurr. and when i got into the fhorn section, i loathed it till i wanted to quit. [that's an understatement] but then, i still stayed on. one by one each of you stepped into my life. jama came to teach us-sec1s and i rmb-ed we even had to blow a tune from our mouthpieces. pure torture. and soon, i got to know fidah too. i even rmb tt the first piece we played was what a wonderful world and then yellow mountains!
sec2 was the year which i slowly became a part of the band. cuz that was when my batch started to join the performances and everything. we came to know regent and also much more about the seniors. raihan, nadhira, mala, raudhah.. it was one trying year and i truly enjoyed it. cuz that was also the year where my batch became seniors too,with new sec1s to take care of. =) it was also our first concert- viva la musica I. ^^ it was so marvelous. beyond description.
another year passed and it was the year where our seniors had to graduate. and it was also the year where more responsibilities were to be placed in our hands. we had to put things in order, keep things right..moreover, that year was our syf. i would say that last year was truly memorable. practicing frequently together, nagged by fidah, problems in and out of band. but above it all, we pulled through it together. it was really wonderful. we played on stage and grabbing each other's hands when the results of syf was received. and tears when it was announced and MORE tears during POP. mann.. i can just imagine it vividly in my head.
lastly, came our year to graduate. we were almost the 'oldest' seniors in the band. more problems arised and we had to settle it before passing on to the next 'chosen one'. concert in march. =) really.. wow. and ytd's POP. the sec3s were so great with their display drills that i couldn't help but 'fall in love' with the band and juniors again. it's just amazing.
all in all, nothing's easy to come by in band or in life. but it's truly worth it. of course, it couldn't happen without the help of many people. to name a few, mr lim, mr chakrit, jamakyah, fidah, raihan, mala, raudhah, nadhira, our section and many more. life wouldn't be complete without you guys leaving footprints in my life. in my hearts of hearts, i'll say that you guys are one of a kind. splendid. thank you for making my secondary life so meaningful. from the bottom of my heart- i love you!!
